Free Plan
Webflow’s free plan lets the user assume full control of the design and CMS of their website. You’ll also gain access to 100+ hours of tutorials on building and publishing a website successfully. Mind you, this is not a trial plan, which means that you could use it as long as you need.
Of course, many features offered by Webflow will be locked for free plan users. The main feature is the ability to use a custom domain. If you decide to go live with a project, your site will be published to webflow.io. Here’s an example of one such link. Also, you can only start two projects with this plan, so to unlock more projects, you’ll have to buy one of the paid plans.
Here’s an overview of the limits of the free plan:
- 2 pages per project (this only counts towards the landing pages, not template pages, which are created from your CMS, such as individual blog posts)
- 50 CMS items
- 20 CMS collections
- 50 form submissios (lifetime)
- 1GB bandwidth
Site Plans
A site plan lets you connect a custom domain. In this case, site plans are hosting plans provided by Webflow.
However, to keep up with the official terminology used on the official pricing page, we’ll stick to the site plan as the official name.
Pricing starts at $14 for the basic package, and it’s ideal for personal sites, simple projects, or landing pages.
If you’re running an online shop, you can pick one of the ecommerce plans, which are also a sub-category of site plans, as they’ll allow you to use checkouts on your domain.
Webflow will also supply you with a range of tools and features related to marketing, payments, management, and more. Ecommerce plans start at $29.
October 2024 update (Webflow Conference update): Webflow introduced several other add-ons to standard pricing plans. These are mainly options for optimizing sites, analytics, and localization, as part of the platform’s initiative to provide a comprehensive website experience. Workspaces
The main difference between site plans and workspace plans is that the latter is charged per account rather than per website. These are intended for developers and designers aiming to provide Webflow development services to clients. Alternatively, they are used by in-house teams for internal purposes.
The packages are, therefore, divided into in-house and freelance/agency sets.
The starter individual plan is free of charge, and that’s basically the free plan you get after opening an account. However, if you decide to get paid in-house pack or opt for one of the freelancer/agency plans, you’ll unlock additional features. The pricing starts at $19 a month for the in-house core plan or $16 for the freelancer package.
Paid features include code export, project transfers, white labeling, site password protection, and much more. The freelancer plan starts at $16 a month for freelancers and $19 a month for in-house teams. If you have a big in-house team, you need to consider using the growth plan, which starts at $49 a month per seat. Alternatively, if you have a web design and development agency, picking the agency pack is the best choice, and it starts at $35 a month per seat.
We’ll break down each of these plans in detail below.
